Olanrewaju Lasabi earned his BSc. (Hons.) degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria, in 2013. He subsequently obtained his MSc. and PhD. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN), Durban, South Africa, in 2018 and 2024, respectively. His research interests encompass high-voltage engineering, microgrids, power electronics, power system stability and control, and large-scale renewable energy integration.
Andrew Swanson obtained his Electrical Engineering Degrees from the University of the Witwatersrand. He is currently a senior lecturer at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, a professionally registered engineer since 2012, and has worked on large international projects. He is currently responsible for research and testing in the field of high voltage engineering, including transmission and distribution systems.
Leigh Jarvis obtained his BSc degree in Electronics Engineering from the University of Natal, South Africa in 1992, and PhD in Electronics Engineering from the University of KwaZulu–Natal, South Africa. He is currently the Acting Director of the Center for Power and Energy Systems under the Eskom Power Plant Engineering Institute. He has received a number of research grants from chemical and power utility industries.
