Prof. Dr. Bin Zhang, Ph.D., is the head of the wheat cultivation team and a researcher at the Crop Research Institute of Shandong Academy of Agricultural Sciences. He is mainly engaged in research on high-yield and high-efficiency wheat cultivation technology. He participated in more than 10 projects including the National Grain Yield Science and Technology Engineering Project during the National 10th to 12th Five-Year Plan Period, the National Key R&D Program, the Ministry of Agriculture’s public welfare industry project, the National Wheat Industry Technology System, and the Provincial Agricultural Technology Innovation Major Application Technology. He participated in the formulation of one key agricultural technology for Shandong Province and three local standards for Shandong Province. He has published more than 10 papers in academic journals such as Acta Crop Sinica, Acta Ecologica Sinica, and Agricultural Research in the Arid Areas, and has co-edited three books. He won one second prize in the National Science and Technology Progress Award (6th place), one third prize in the Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award (2nd place), one second prize in the National Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Fishery Harvest Award (2nd place), and one first prize in the Provincial Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Fishery Harvest Award (2nd place).

Prof. Dr. Lingan Kong graduated from Shandong Normal University with a master’s degree in botany in July 1996. After graduation, he worked at the Soil and Fertilizer Research Institute of Shandong Academy of Agricultural Sciences. He was promoted to assistant researcher in 1997 and associate researcher in 2002. In September 2002, he was admitted to China Agricultural University and graduated in June 2005 with a doctorate in science. In July 2005, he worked at the Crop Research Institute of Shandong Academy of Agricultural Sciences. He was promoted to researcher in 2008. He is mainly engaged in research on crop stress resistance biology and crop nutritional biology. He has hosted and participated in many projects. He has won two second prizes in Shandong Science and Technology Progress, second prize in the National Science and Technology Progress Collective Achievement Award, and first prize in the Shandong Province Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, and Fishery Harvest Award. He has been granted two national invention patents. He was awarded the title of first-class academic expert by the Shandong Academy of Agricultural Sciences in 2007. He has published more than 30 papers in SCI-indexed journals and domestic core journals such as BMC Plant Biology, Plant Physiology, Tree Physiology, Field Crops Research, Agronomy Journal, Plant Growth Regulation, Crop Protection, Science in China Series C: Life Sciences, and Nordic Journal of Botany.
Prof. Dr. Zhaohui Wang holds a bachelor’s degree in soil and plant nutrition, and a master’s and doctoral degree in crop nutrition and fertilization from the Department of Agrochemistry of Northwest Agricultural University. He is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the College of Resources and Environment of Northwest A&F University, and also serves as director of the Northwest Plant Nutrition and Agricultural Environment Key Laboratory of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. He is a director of the Board of Directors of the Chinese Society of Plant Nutrition and Fertilizer, a member of the Plant Nutrition Professional Committee of the Chinese Society of Soil Science, and a member of the Scientific Fertilization Expert Guidance Group of the Ministry of Agriculture. He has been engaged in research on crop nutrition regulation and dryland water and fertilizer management. He has published more than 200 papers, and more than 60 papers have been included in SCI. He has published one monograph and co-edited two books. He has obtained seven national invention and new utility patents, formulated four national and local standards, and won two major agricultural technologies promoted by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. He won second prize in the National Science and Technology Progress Award, first prize and three second prizes in the Shaanxi Science and Technology Progress Award, and second prize in the Shaanxi Modern Education Achievement Award.
Dr. Haiyong Xia holds a bachelor’s degree in agronomy, a master’s degree in agronomy from crop cultivation and tillage from Qingdao Agricultural University, and a doctorate in ecology from China Agricultural University. He has studied and exchanged at Rothamsted Research in the UK. Since July 2013, he has been engaged in research on crop tillage and ecology and grain nutrition and quality safety at the Crop Research Institute of Shandong Academy of Agricultural Sciences. He has made a one year's academic visit to Wageningen University, the Netherlands, and short-term academic visits to the University of Copenhagen, Denmark, the University of California, Davis, and the University of Reading, UK. He is currently a master’s supervisor at Shandong Normal University, Qingdao Agricultural University and Ludong University. He has undertaken nearly 15 scientific research projects. He won the Shennong Chinese Agricultural Science and Technology Third Prize, the Shandong Science and Technology Progress Second Prize, and the Linyi Science and Technology Progress Second Prize. He has published 14 SCI articles as the first or corresponding author, 22 Chinese articles as the first or corresponding author, and edited 1 book. He has been granted five invention patents, seven utility model patents, and eight computer software copyrights. He participated in the formulation of four Shandong provincial local standards.
