Prof. Christopher Thomas Chantler is a Professor of Physics at the University of Melbourne and also a fellow of the Australian Institute of Physics and the American Physical Society. He holds a D. Phil. at Exeter College, Oxford University. His research interests include QED, Relativistic Atomic Theory, X-ray Optics, Atomic Physics: Theory and Experiment, XAFS and Condensed Matter Science: Theory and Experiment, X-ray Extended Range Technique for High-Accuracy Absorption and Scattering Measurement, Non-Destructive Measurement of Nanoroughness, Measurement and Theory of the Inelastic Mean Free Path of the Electron, Theoretical and Laboratory Astrophysics, etc.
