Byung Bae Park has been a Professor at Chungnam National University, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Department of Forest Environment and Resources since March 2014. He obtained a Bachelor's degree from 1991 to 1997 at Seoul National University in Forest Resources, a Master's degree from 1998 to 2000 at Seoul National University in Forest Environment, and a PhD from 2001 to 2006 at State University of New York (SUNY ESF) in Ecosystem Management. He was a Postdoctoral Researcher from May 2006 to October 2007 at State University of New York, National Institute of Forest Science, a Forestry Researcher from October 2007 to February 2014 at National Institute of Forest Science, the Vice Dean from March 2022 to October 2023 at Chungnam National University, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, and the Head of Department of Forest Environment Resources, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Chungnam National University from March 2022 to February 2024.
