Dr. Yongchen Zhao is a Professor at the Department of Economics at Towson University’s College of Business and Economics. He earned his Ph.D. in Economics from the State University of New York at Albany. Dr. Zhao’s research spans the broad field of economic forecasting, predictive analytics, and financial economics. His work includes studies on economic expectations, business cycles, and the return and failure risk of hedge funds. He has published numerous articles in leading academic journals, including the Journal of Applied Econometrics, Econometric Reviews, International Journal of Forecasting, Journal of Forecasting, Journal of Business Cycle Research, Managerial and Decision Economics, and Research in Finance. Dr. Zhao has held memberships in the American Economic Association, the Econometric Society, and the International Institute of Forecasters.
