Dr. Yi-Ju Hsu is an associate professor and the director of
the Institute of Sports Science at National Sport University. She earned both her
master’s degree and PhD degree from National Sport University. She carried out
her post-doctoral research in the Institute of Sports Science at National Sport
University. Before joining National Sport University, she worked as a research
assistant at the Chang Jung University Institute of Medicine and the Kaohsiung
Medical University, Department of Sports Medicine. In 2016, she won the 2015
Annual Sports Science Research and Development Award—Excellence Award from the
Sports Administration of the Ministry of Education, Executive Yuan. In 2017,
she won the first-class award in the 2016 Annual Sports Science Research and
Development Award from the Sports Administration of the Ministry of Education,
Executive Yuan. Her research interests include sports nutrition, sports
biochemistry, sports medicine, and animal model establishment.
Dr. Nai-Wen Kan is a professor in the Center for General
Education and a joint-appointment professor in the School of Nutrition and
Health Sciences at Taipei Medical University. He received his BS from Taipei
Medical University in 1995, his MS from National Taiwan Sport University in 1997,
his MS from the University of Taipei in 2010, and his PhD from National
Taiwan Sport University in 2016. Since 1999, he has been staff at the Taipei
Medical University. His research interests mainly include exercise physiology,
motor ability tests (maximal oxygen uptake and anaerobic power), and failure
motor ability tests of mice (swim and treadmill mode).
