Michael J. Pisani, Professor of International Business
& Entrepreneurship, Central Michigan University (Mt. Pleasant, MI USA). Dr. Pisani served as a US Fulbright Scholar in Paraguay
(2019) with research and teaching focused on international business, the informal
economy, and entrepreneurship. His primary geographic focus concerns the
Americas. Professor Pisani has (co-)authored more than 125 articles
and book chapters and six books, including Advancing
U.S. Latino Entrepreneurship: A New National Imperative (Purdue University Press, 2020) as co-editor. Dr.
Pisani earned his Ph.D. in international business at the University of Texas –
Pan American, two master’s degrees in business administration and Latin
American studies at the University of New Mexico, and his A.B. in international
relations and Latin American history at the University of California, Davis.
Professor Pisani has taught for more than 30 years at 11 institutions and has
been a full-time faculty member in the Department of Management, College of Business
Administration at Central Michigan University since 2002.
