Dr. Alexandru Băloi was born in Târgu Jiu, Romania, on January 15, 1980. He received his M.Sc. degree in Power Engineering from 'Politehnica' University of Timișoara, Electrical and Power Engineering Faculty, in 2005, and his Ph.D. degree in 2009 from the same university. He is currently an Assistant Professor at 'Politehnica' University of Timișoara, Power Engineering Department. His research interests include the transport and distribution of electrical energy, power quality, and modeling and simulation.
