Author Biographies

Saori Iwanaga is a professor at the Department of Maritime Safety Technology, Japan Coast Guard Academy. She completed her PhD studies in Electronics and Information Engineering at the National Defense Academy, Japan. She has published 2 publications, 25 papers, 75 presentations, and a total of 50 members of the research committee. Her interests include multi-agent simulation, complex theory and evolutionary games. She is a member of Academic Societies, Information Processing Society of Japan, and Japan Society for Safety Engineering.
Masao Kubo received a Ph.D. in Engineering from Hokkaido University in 1996. He worked as an assistant at Hokkaido University (1996-1999). In 1999, he moved to the National Defense Academy of Japan and was promoted to associate professor in 2005. His research topics mainly include multi-agent systems, swarm intelligence and artificial intelligence.
Hiroshi Sato received a Ph.D. in Engineering from Tokyo Institute of Technology in 1997. He worked as a research associate at Osaka Prefecture University (1997-1999). In 1999, he moved to the National Defense Academy of Japan and was promoted to associate professor in 2005. His research topics mainly include artificial intelligence, multi-agent systems, and evolutionary computation.
