Dr Nikki Aharonian is an Australian-born teacher educator and holds a PhD in Education from Monash University. As a post-doctorate fellow at the MOFET Institute, Nikki researches teacher educators and their writing. After 31 years as an elementary school teacher and leader of professional learning in the Ministry of Education, she is now chair of the Department of English Language and Literature at the Oranim College of Education in Israel. Nikki created a voluntary writing community for her colleagues. Nikki's research interests include writing communities, practitioner inquiry, relational pedagogies and professional development for teachers and teacher educators
Prof. Dr. Orna Schatz Oppenheimer holds a Ph.D. in educational psychology from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. She is dean of social science at Hacademic Hemdat College of Education. She was a lecturer in the Education Department at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and the M.Ed. program at the David Yellin Academic College. Orna conducts pedagogical competitions for novice teachers in the Israeli Ministry of Education. Engaging in qualitative narrative research on beginning teachers and professional identities, she has published books and articles.
