Prof. Federico Ferrari MD, PhD, is a Consultant at the
Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, at Spedali Civili of Brescia, a
tertiary academic hospital in the northeast of Italy. Prof. Ferrari is also a
clinician scientist in the field of gynecology oncology and cancer therapy and
lecturer at the University of Brescia, Italy. His main research interests are
the translational and clinical research settings in gynecologic oncology, in
particular in all the aspects of prevention, diagnosis, surgical and medical
treatment, and follow-up. His particular research focus is oriented on surgical
approaches for malignant disease, including minimally invasive surgery, robotic
surgery and the optimization of the women's wellbeing inĀ the
perioperative setting with a focus on the ERAS programs and their interaction
with long-term cancer outcomes.
Prof. Sean Kehoe qualified at Trinity College Dublin
and after obtaining his MRCOG came to the UK and took the post of CRC Fellow in
Gynaecological Cancer at the University of Birmingham. He received an MD,
continued to work in Birmingham achieving subspecialty training in
Gynaecological Oncology, and was appointed a Senior Lecturer in Gynaecological
Cancer. He then moved to Oxford and as the Foundation Professor of
Gynaecological Cancer, he developed the Oxford Gynaecological Cancer Centre
before returning to Birmingham to take up the Lawson Tait Chair in
Gynaecological Cancer in December 2012. He has lectured widely both nationally
and internationally. In 2010 he was awarded the Boyle Memorial Medal by the
Institute of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Ireland and was re-elected a
Senior Research Fellow of St Peters in 2013.
Dr. Hooman Soleymani majd started his Obstetrics and
Gynaecology career in London, before moving to Oxford and completing his
structured postgraduate training programme. During the course of training he
obtained membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists
(MRCOG). He is a BSCCP accredited Colposcopist and trainer, a member of the
British Gynaecological Cancer Society (BGCS) and the European Society of
Gynaecology Oncology (ESGO). He is a Consultant in Gynaecological Oncology at
the Churchill Hospital and have been in post since 2016. He is a visiting
Professor at the prestigious Guangxi Medical University Cancer Centre in
Nanning, China. He has a special interest in developing new surgical techniques
in ultra-radical surgery for advanced ovarian cancer and radical pelvic
exenteration operations. His skill set includes upper abdominal surgery, liver
mobilisation and diaphragmatic reconstruction. He also have a particular
interest in treating patients with Placenta Accreta Spectrum (PAS). He is a founding
member and surgical lead for the OxPAT group. He is also a member of the Oxford
Sarcoma team. Dr. Hooman Soleymani majd is currently collaborating with
Professor Sarosh Irani in the Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences and
Dr Adam Al-Diwani in the department of psychiatry on auto-antibody mediated
neurological diseases.
