Prof. Deyu Cai received the B.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Zhengzhou, Zhengzhou, China in 2003, the M.Sc. degree in electrical power systems and Ph.D. degree from the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, both from the University of Manchester, Manchester, UK, in 2007 and 2012, respectively. He is currently working at the Shanghai Electric Power Corporation Ltd., Shanghai, China. His main research interests include the development of applications for wide-area monitoring and control, as well as research into smart grid concepts considering a high penetration of renewable energy resources.
