Author Biographies

Tulia Esperanza Delgado Revelo: Research assistant in the Agronomy Program at the Oil Palm Research Center, Cenipalma. Graduated as an agricultural engineer from Universidad del Valle in 2009. Received a Master's in Hydrology and Water Resources Management from Alcalá and Rey Juan Carlos Universities in 2023. Thirteen years of experience in the development and conducting of research projects on soil and water management and conservation in the oil palm sector, design of irrigation and drainage systems, and two years of experience in the evaluation of soil and water quality in grazing fields.
Greydy Selene Ladino Tabarquino: Research assistant in the Agronomy Program of the Oil Palm Research Center, Cenipalma. Graduated as an agricultural engineer from Universidad del Valle in 2017 with 8 years of experience in the agricultural sector through the execution of research in projects related to water resource management, the evaluation of irrigation systems and determination of water requirements in oil palm cultivation, and soil management through physicochemical characterization, crop nutrition, and evaluation of macro and micronutrient content. One year of experience in the determination of nitrate leaching in basil crops.
Nolver Atanacio Arias Arias: Currently working as a senior researcher and coordinator of the Agronomy Program at the Centro de Investigación de Palma de Aceite, Cenipalma. Graduated as an agronomist engineer in 1997 and received a Master's in Rural Development in 2000 from the Universidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombia (UPTC). Received a doctorate degree in Agricultural Sciences from the Autonomous University of Chapingo in 2013. Professional oriented towards the field of sustainability through the identification of opportunities and challenges in the oil palm agroindustry, with emphasis on soil and water management, crop nutrition, geomatic tools, agricultural mechanization, precision agriculture, and research and extension actors in Colombia.
