Dr. Xiangyang Liu is a professor of aerospace propulsion theory and engineering at the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Beijing Institute of Technology. He received his bachelor's degree in food machinery from Northwest Agricultural University in 1992, his master's degree in test and measurement technology and instrumentation from Beijing Institute of Technology in 1998, and his doctorate in mechanical and electronic engineering from Beijing Institute of Technology in 2006. His main research areas are solid rocket motor structural integrity analysis technology, solid rocket motor life assessment and health monitoring technology, advanced solid electric propulsion technology, and solid rocket motor test technology and equipment.
