Prof. Fabio Bozzoli graduated with excellent grades from the
Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Parma in 2001. He has a PhD in
Industrial Engineering (2005) and has been a university researcher (2005–2015) and associate
professor (2015–today) in applied physics at the Faculty of Engineering of the
University of Parma. His research activity, both theoretical and experimental,
is focused mainly on the solution of the inverse heat conduction problem and
developing data processing techniques applied to the estimation of the local
convective heat transfer coefficient. At the same time, by adopting both
numerical and experimental study approaches, he studied the forced convection in
corrugated tubes, with particular attention to the problems of the food industry.
Prof. Luca Cattani was
born in Parma in 1986 and graduated with honors in mechanical engineering from
the University of Parma in 2011. In 2015, he obtained a PhD in Industrial
Engineering from the Department of Engineering and Architecture of the
University of Parma and, in 2015, a Postdoc in Technical Physics. He is
currently a temporary researcher. RTDA (Article 24 c.3-a L. 240/10)—SC

of Parma. In 2018, he obtained the National Scientific Habilitation of Second
Class Professor (2018) in Technical Physics (Department 09/C2).
