Deniz Üçer Erduran teaches architectural and structural design at Bilkent University, the Architecture Department, Ankara, Türkiye. She regularly takes part in archaeological excavations to broaden her understanding of heritage value and preservation strategies. She has been an active participant in the Kınık Höyük Project for many years, which provided the main material for this research paper.
