Rhaymá do Carmo Silva is a mining engineer with a degree from the Federal University of Pará. He holds a specialization in Mine Geology and Open-Pit Mining from the same institution and an MBA in Financial Management and Projects from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV). Currently pursuing a master's degree at the University of São Paulo (USP), his research focuses on sustainability in mining. He has been active in the mining industry since 2013, holding leadership roles in mine operations for medium and large-scale projects. His interests include mining, sustainability, open-pit, ore, and iron.
Anna Luiza Marques Ayres da Silva holds a degree in Mining Engineering from the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo (USP) and a Ph.D. in Mineral Engineering from RWTH Aachen University in Germany. With awards for academic excellence, she has accumulated over six years of extensive experience as a mining engineer, working with a German multinational company and a consultancy specializing in rock engineering. In 2014, she was appointed Professor at USP's Department of Mining and Petroleum Engineering, where her expertise was in "Mining Operations." In 2016, she completed a specialization in Occupational Safety Engineering at USP. Since December 2022, she has served as the Deputy Coordinator of the Laboratory of Environmental Control, Hygiene, and Safety in Mining (LACASEMIN) at USP. Her research focuses on safety, health, sustainability, and environmental and structural control in mining. She is also an active member of several prominent international professional societies, including the International Society for Rock Mechanics (ISRM) and the Society of Mining Professors (SOMP).
