Tazhbayev Yerkeblan is a vice-rector on the scientific work of Karaganda Buketov University,
a Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of
Kazakhstan, and a Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor.
Dr.Tazhbayev Y. was given a Candidate of Chem. Sci. (PhD) degree in polymer chemistry at the Kazakh National Technical University named after K.I. Satpayev in 1999. After defending his thesis,
he worked at the chemistry faculty of Karaganda Buketov University as a senior
teacher, associate professor, the head of the chair of organic chemistry and
polymers, and the dean of the faculty.
In 2007, he undertook an internship in the laboratory of professor J. Kreuter at the Institute of Pharmaceutical Technology of Goethe University (Frankfurt am Main). He received the degree of Doctor of Chemical Sciences in 2007.
Ye. Tazhbayev was elected as a member to the National Academy of Sciences in 2016.
Since 2019, he has been working as a vice-rector on scientific work at the Karaganda Buketov University and a director of the Institute of chemical problems.
Prof. Tazhbayev is the chief editor of the Eurasian Journal of Chemistry.
The scientific interests of Dr. Tazhbayev are focused on the development of drug delivery systems based on polymeric nanoparticles, obtaining polymeric hydrogels for the personalized regeneration of tissues and
working out of methods for obtaining engineering structural materials on the basis of polyester resins.
