Author Biographies

Linlin He received her B.S. degree in Applied Biological Sciences from Luoyang Normal University in 2022 and is currently pursuing an M.S. degree in Biochemistry at Liaocheng University. Her research focuses on the protection of folates using protein-based carriers and the impact of various factors on the interaction between folates and proteins.
Yuqian Yan received her B.S. degree in Bioengineering from the Qilu University of Technology in 2023, and is now pursuing an M.S. degree in Biochemistry at Liaocheng University. Her research focuses on developing encapsulation formulations for food-derived bioactive compounds and probiotics using industrial technology.
Gang Zhang obtained his B.S. degree in Biopharmaceuticals from Jining Medical University in 2020, and subsequently completed his M.S. degree in Biochemistry at Liaocheng University. His master's thesis focused on the interaction of lutein/zeaxanthin with protein carriers and their microencapsulation.
Dr. Yanna Zhao, Ph.D., master’s tutor, holds a position as an Associate Professor and is currently working at the Institute of Biopharmaceutical Research, Liaocheng University, Liaocheng, China. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Shandong University and a Doctor of Medicine degree from the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and Peking Union Medical College. Her research directions are nano-drug delivery systems; the solubilization of hydrophobic drugs; and hot-melt extrusion technology.
Mr. Fa Zhao received his B.S. in Biological Science (2009) and his M.S. degree in Food Science (2011) from Shandong Normal University. He is now an analysis engineer at the Food Inspection Department in the Shandong Institute for Food and Drug Control. His research interests focus on the development of analytical techniques and methods for various food components.
Dr. Zhuang Ding received his B.S in Biological Science in 2009 from Shandong Normal University and his Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry in 2016 from the Ocean University of China. After joining Liaocheng University, he was promoted to lecturer (2017), master’s tutor (2021), and associate professor (2023). Since 2016, he has been working in Professor Zhengping Wang’s group on the development and optimisation of the innovative formulation of natural nutrients, including small molecule compounds, natural protein, and probiotics.
Prof. Zhengping Wang received B.S. and M.S. degree in Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry from Shenyang Agricultural University in 1982 and 1985. She received her Ph.D. degree in 1991 in Soil Enzymes at Ghent University, Belgium. She had two years of scientific research experience at the Institute of Applied Ecology, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, China (1985–1987) and seven years of research experience at the Louisianan State University, USA (1991–1997). She had working experiences with Degussa GmbH and Desano Group as Business Manager, Senior Director, Chief Consultant and Group CEO (1998–2012). Since 2013, she has accepted the invitation of Shandong Liaocheng University as a professor, and has assisted the university in establishing the School of Pharmacy and the Biopharmaceutical Research Institute. She is now is a professor of the Biopharmaceutical Research Institute, Liaocheng University, and is also the director of the Liaocheng University Bioactive Substance and Clinical Nutrition Research Center and Liaocheng Key Laboratory of FSMP Engineering. Her research interests include developing therapeutics for neurodegenerative and infectious diseases via drug and nutrition intervention, as well as developing new approaches to drug and nutrient delivery systems.
