Sarah Mohammed Alqithami is a PhD student in the Department of Toxicology and Cancer Biology at the University of Kentucky, USA. Her research focuses on the molecular mechanisms underlying the effects of cigarette smoke on epithelial to mesenchymal transition (EMT) in normal human bronchial epithelial cells. Prior to her PhD studies, Sarah earned her PharmD degree with first honors from Taif University, Saudi Arabia, and gained experience as a pharmacist and teaching assistant.
David K. Orren is an Associate Professor in the Department of Toxicology and Cancer Biology at the University of Kentucky. He is also a member of the Markey Cancer Center. Dr. Orren's research topics mainly include cancer biology, toxicology, and the molecular mechanisms underlying cancer progression.
