Zhandos Salpynov is a third-year PhD student in Global Health at Nazarbayev University School of Medicine in Astana, Kazakhstan. Alongside his doctoral studies, Mr. Salpynov serves as a graduate teaching assistant at the university. In 2023, he was honoured with the Graduate Teaching Assistant Award for Teaching Excellence at Nazarbayev University. Mr. Salpynov earned a master’s degree in Public Health from King’s College London (KCL) in 2018. At KCL, he was awarded the 2018 CJ Littlejohns Global Health Prize. His research interests include public health, global health, mental health, and health policy.
