Dr. Luis Pastenes is an Assistant Professor at the Universidad Católica del Maule. He received his Bachelor's in Molecular Biotechnology Engineering and his Ph.D. in Silvo-Agricultural and Veterinary Sciences from the University of Chile, Chile in 2008 and 2013, respectively. From 2013 to 2016, he served as a FONDECYT Postdoctoral Researcher at the Facultad de Ciencias, Universidad de Chile. He has been awarded many Awards and Honors, such as the National Congress Attendance Scholarship (2004–2005, 2010–2011, 2012–2013) and the CONICYT Scholarship for National Doctorate (2009). His research interests include DNA Sequencing, PCR, DNA, Sequencing, DNA Extraction, DNA Amplification, Electrophoresis, Gene Expression, RNA, and RNA Extraction.
