Prof. Dr. Hans-Peter Deigner is a Professor of Pharmacology, the Deputy Director of the Institute of Precision Medicine, and the Dean of the Faculty of Medical and Life Sciences at Furtwangen University. He received his Ph.D. degree from Heidelberg University and served as a Post-Doctoral Researcher at the Harvard Medical School. Then, he finished his habilitation in Pharmaceutical Chemistry at Heidelberg University. He led research in molecular diagnostics in several biotech companies and held a professorship in Biomedicinal Chemistry at the University of East Anglia, Norwich, UK (2004–2006). In 2020 he also became an associated member of the Science Faculty, Tuebingen University. His research interests are in molecular diagnostics, metabolomics and chemical biology.
