Dr. Vitalij Novickij is a professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering and the Head of the Department of Immunology and Bioelectrochemistry, Vilnius Gediminas Technical University. He is also the deputy director of research at the Inovatyvios Medicinos Centras (IMC). He received his master's degree in bioelectronics from the University of Edinburgh in 2011 and obtained his PhD in electrical and electronics engineering from Vilnius Gediminas Technical University in 2015. He has a strong background in electronics, bioelectronics and electrical engineering. His research is directly connected with bioelectromagnetics, electromagnetic fields and the study of biological effects including cellular responses to electromagnetic treatment with a high focus on electroporation. His group specializes in many aspects of applied electroporation research, including in silico, in vitro and in vivo models. He is a member of the International Society for Electroporation-Based Technologies and Treatments (ISEBTT), the European BioElectromagnetics Association (EBEA), the Bioelectromagnetics Society (BEMS) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
