Prof. Dr. Nobuyuki Katagiri is an Associate Professor at the Energy/Capital Recovery Area Katagiri Research Institute, Department of Environmental Technology, Faculty of Science and Technology, Meijo University, Nagoya, Japan. He is a member of the World Society of Filtration Engineering and the Japan Society on Water Environment. His research projects include the following: 1. Development of a durable wastewater membrane deep treatment process that effectively utilizes food, bacteria, and enzymes; 2. Development of an advanced compression dewatering process to convert sludge into solid fuel. His research interests include water treatment and the environment, separation engineering, and microbial treatment.
