Dr. Fengliang Zhang is a professor and Ph.D. supervisor at Harbin Institute of Technology, and Deputy Director of Shenzhen Container Modular House Creative Engineering Laboratory. He graduated from Central South University in 2006, followed by his M.Sc. from Harbin Institute of Technology in 2008 and Ph.D. from City University of Hong Kong in 2011. In 2017, he was selected as a JSPS (Japan Society for the Promotion of Science) Fellow. He is a member of the ASCE Dynamics Committee, a member of the Probability and Statistics Committee of the Physical Sciences of the Bernoulli Society of International Mathematical Statistics and Probability (2015-2018), a member of the Youth Working Committee of the Engineering Risk and Insurance Branch of the Chinese Civil Engineering Society (2014-2018), a member of the Youth Working Committee of Structural Vibration Control and Health Monitoring, and a member of the Youth Committee of China Seismological Society for Infrastructure Earthquake Prevention and Disaster Mitigation. His research is mainly on structural health monitoring, vibration tests, Bayesian model updating, and ambient modal identification.
