Dr. Sean R. Stowell is an Associate Professor at the Harvard Medical School, the Vice Chair for Transfusion Medicine, the Director of Transfusion Medicine Service, the Medical Director at the Brigham and Women's Hospital Apheresis, and a member of the Joint Program in Transfusion Medicine. He completed his PhD studies in Immunology and Medicine at the Emory University. His team research program has developed a wide variety of transfusion models designed to recapitulate key features of alloimmunization following red blood cell or platelet transfusion.
