Mirjana Pejić Bach is a full professor
at the Department of Informatics, Faculty of Economics in Zagreb. She holds a
PhD in system dynamics modeling from the Faculty of Economics, University of
Zagreb. She was trained at the MIT Sloan School of Management in system
dynamics and OliviaGroup in data mining. She is the leader and collaborator of
numerous projects in which she cooperates with Croatian companies and
international organizations, mainly through European Union projects and the
bilateral research framework. Her research areas are the strategic application
of information technology in business, data science, simulation modeling,
research methodology, qualitative and quantitative, especially multivariate
statistics, and modeling structural equations. She is the editor of several
scientific journals indexed in Scopus and WoS and has organized several
conferences and given plenary lectures at congresses, such as IEEE Systems. She
has won several international awards for her scientific work, such as the Emerald
Literati Network Awards for Excellence. She received the largest number of
citations from the field of Artificial Intelligence & Image Processing. The
main goal of her work is to support aspiring researchers through mentoring
doctoral theses and developing their scientific careers.
Dalia Suša Vugec is currently employed as a postdoctoral
researcher at the Department of Informatics, Faculty of Economics &
Business, University of Zagreb. She graduated in managerial informatics in 2012
at the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Economics & Business, where in 2020
she earned her PhD. In 2012, she received the Dean’s Award for Excellence for
her graduate thesis. She attended additional education at the School of
Economics and Business, University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, and at the
University of Cambridge, United Kingdom, and the University of Zagreb. She
actively participated in several scientific projects. She is the author and
co-author of many papers published in international scientific journals and
presented at international scientific conferences. She is a reviewer for
several international scientific journals and conferences. As a former member
and president of the Croatian Students Association, she was also actively
involved in the organization of numerous projects and conferences like the Days
of the European Union, International Week Zagreb, etc. Her main research
interests are digital and information literacy, digital trace, business process
management, robotic process automation, artificial intelligence, digital transformation, knowledge
management, social media and networks, Web 2.0 services and technologies, and
e-learning.
Sarwar Khawaja is a British educationist, thought leader,
sociopreneur, and philanthropist. He is an Honorary Professor of Business
Management in the Department of International Business at the Małopolska
J.Dietl University in Krakow, Poland. As the Founder of SK HUB, Chairman of the
Executive Board at Oxford Business College, and Chairman and CEO of Ealing
College Upper School, he has more than three decades of experience in leading
and transforming educational institutions in the UK and abroad. He is a Fellow
of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and a Life Fellow of the Royal Society
of Arts (FRSA), as well as a Harvard, Cambridge, Oxford, and City University
alumnus. Additionally, he is a Distinguished Professor of Practice in Business
Administration at Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU), Islamabad. He is a member of
the British Educational Leadership Management and Administration Society
(BELMAS), UK. He is Chairman of Oxford Education Group which is dedicated to
improving higher education, learning technologies, and academic eco-system. He
has co-authored a critically acclaimed book ‘The Teacher’ along with the
internationally bestselling author, Nobel Prize nominee, and the inventor of
mind mapping Tony Buzan. ‘The Teacher’ was released worldwide and is being
translated into several languages. In 2018, he has been accepted by the
European Economic Senate (EES) as a Senator. He is also Chairman of the
European Council on Global Relations.
Fayyaz Hussain Qureshi is the Director of the ‘Centre of
Applied Research and Entrepreneurship (CARE) and Chair of Research &
Quality Assurance Committees. He is working on the strategic planning and
effective implementation of his proposed strategy, “Pragmatic Path of Growth”,
at OBC. Responsible for the strategic leadership and development of CARE and a
multidisciplinary research portfolio within the College, he holds more than
twenty years of experience in the UK private higher education sector. In addition
to his academic career, he has held positions of Principal, Vice Principal, and
Head of Business Department in different private higher education institutes in
the UK. He also worked as an MBA dissertation supervisor for more than five
years. Presently, he is a Peer Reviewer for Emerald Publishing. In the past, he
held the positions of Secretary–Information & Finance at Amnesty
International, Pakistan, and Senior Vice President of multipurpose Welfare
Trusts in Pakistan. He holds several degrees in pure sciences, social sciences,
English Literature, Marketing & Finance, and Internet Technologies from
renowned institutions including Luton University, Cranfield University,
Gloucestershire University, Edge Hill University, University of Chester, and Gothenburg
University-Sweden and the University of Punjab-Pakistan. In addition, he earned
a doctorate in marketing from the UK.
