Mario Gruppo is a surgical oncologist at the Veneto Institute of Oncology IOV—IRCCS. He deals with clinical and translational research on pancreatic neoplasms, cystic lesions of the pancreas, colorectal neoplasms and neoplastic cachexia, with a particular interest in prognostic and predictive biomarkers and the outcome after pancreatic resection. He has attended various national and international conferences as a speaker. He is a member of five national and international scientific societies, and has authored over 30 scientific articles in peer-reviewed international journals.
Ottavia De Simoni is a surgeon at the Veneto Institute of Oncology in Castelfranco Veneto (Italy) (2022 to the present). Before that, she worked as a general surgery resident at the UniversitĂ degli Studi di Padova from 2016 to 2021. Her research and clinical interests are focused on oncological surgery. In particular, she is interested in pancreatic surgery and minimally invasive colorectal surgery.
