Author Biographies

Dr. Jooyoung Lee is the founder of the modern avant-garde style brand LILIE U, an adjunct professor at Gachon University, and a visiting professor at Inha University. She earned her B.F.A. in fashion design from School of the Art Institute of Chicago in the U.S.A, and her M.A. and Ph.D. in fashion design from Ewha Womans University in South Korea. Dr. Lee's research focuses on the development of future-oriented educational technologies that enable creativity development and self-directed learning through digital in the 21st century and their application to the fashion industry.
Dr. Sungeun Suh is an associate professor and has been serving as the head of the Department of Fashion Design and Merchandising at the college of social science, Gachon University for three years. She earned a B.A. in Clothing and Textiles and an M.A. and Ph.D. in aesthetics of dress from Seoul National University, South Korea, in addition to a B.F.A. in fashion design from Parsons School of Design in New York. Dr. Suh's research explores the impact and educational uses of new technologies such as social media and AI in fashion and design, with a particular emphasis on fashion thinking, creative fashion design, sustainable fashion, fashion as a cultural lifestyle, and fashion communication. With years of industry experience in the global design sector, Dr. Suh is dedicated to providing innovative and practical design education, drawing on her extensive and diverse understanding of global fashion trends developed through her academic and professional carrier.
