Kangkang Tang received his BEng
in Civil Engineering from Chongqing University and earned his MSc in Structural
Engineering and Ph.D. in Concrete Technology from the University of Liverpool. He
possesses the professional qualification of a chartered civil and structural
engineer (CEng MICE IStructE). At Brunel University London, he serves as a Senior
Lecturer, director of teaching and learning, and programme leader for BEng/MEng
Civil Engineering courses. Additionally, he is actively engaged as a member of
the accreditation visiting team for the Joint Board of Moderators (JBM). His primary
research interests focus on the enhancement of resilient infrastructure. He is
leading the research group in resilient infrastructures, with an emphasis on
resilient health and care infrastructure development. He is also leading the
project investigating the inherent corrosion resistance of steel fibre
reinforced concrete (SFRC) under railway stray direct current (DC) and
alternating current (AC) environments.
