José Varela-Aldás is an Industrial Engineer in Automation Processes from the Universidad Técnica de Ambato (2014) and has a Master’s degree in Control Systems and Industrial Automation from the Escuela Politécnica de Chimborazo, Ecuador (2016). He obtained a PhD in Electronic Engineering from the University of Zaragoza, Spain (2022). He was an associate professor at the Universidad de la Fuerzas Armadas ESPE, where he taught subjects including General Electronics, Electrical Measures, Industrial Control, and Power Electronics. He is currently a full professor at the Universidad Tecnológica Indoamérica in the subjects include Robotics, Electrical Engineering, and Electricity and Industrial Electronics. His areas of interest are IoT, control systems, robotics, and virtual reality. He was the Winner of Best Young Researcher at IEEE Ecuador, in 2023.
Nancy Velasco received the M.S. degree in Automation and Robotics from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, España, in 2015, and the M.S. degree in Mathematics and Computing from Universidad Internacional de la Rioja, España, in 2018. She is currently a Professor of the Faculty of Computer Science and Electronics with Escuela Superior Politécnica de Chimborazo ESPOCH, Riobamba, Ecuador. She is a co-author of 25 scientific articles in the fields of electronic and mathematics. Prof. Velasco was a Committee Member of the IEEE Ecuador Technical Chapters Meeting in 2016 and 2018. She received recognition for advising winning projects at science fairs in 2018 and 2019 and recognition for his research work from Universidad de las Fuerzas Armadas Espe, Sangolquí, Ecuador from 2016 to 2021.
Carolina Del-Valle-Soto is currently the Head of the Engineering Computer Academy at Universidad Panamericana in Guadalajara, Mexico. She has a BS in Electronics Engineering. She completed her MS in Electronics Engineering (Telecommunications) and graduated with honors. She has a PhD in Information Technology and Communications and graduated with honors. She is a Titular D researcher professor and belongs to the National System of Researchers, Level I. Carolina is currently a reviewer for the European Commission in the area of Frontier Technology and Doctoral Networks. Her main skills are related to the application and development of telecommunications, specifically wired and wireless networks, programming, and security.

Work experience in companies in the area of telecommunications, power systems
and renewable energies. Academic experience as Dean of the Faculty of
Engineering, IT department director and professor of undergraduate and
postgraduate courses in embedded systems, electronic design, networks and
computer security, his research interests include areas related to embedded
systems, Internet of the Things, IPv6 Automation, ASIC design, network
protocols, parallel systems, and computer vision.
