Saher Javaid received a B.CS (Bachelor in Computer
Science) and M.SC (Masters in Information Technology) from Allama Iqbal Open
University in 2004 and the University of the Punjab (PUCIT), Pakistan in 2007,
respectively. She received her Ph.D. degree in Information Science from the
Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST) in 2014. She was a
visiting lecturer at the University of the Punjab (PUCIT) in Pakistan for 8
months. She also worked as a visiting lecturer at Education University in
Pakistan for ten months. During 2014–2017, she worked as an assistant professor
at the Graduate School of Informatics, Kyoto University. Since 2017, she has
been working at the Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST)
as an assistant professor. Her research interests include distributed sensing
and control, energy on demand, power flow coloring, renewable energy resources,
and smart energy management systems.
Yuto Lim is an Associate Professor at the School of
Information Science, Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, Japan.
He completed his Ph.D. studies in Informatics at Kyoto University in 2005. From
2006 to 2009, he was an Expert Researcher at the National Institute of
Information and Communications Technology (NICT). He is a Visiting Researcher
at Fudan University. His research interests are predictive control; network
coding; evolutionary multi-objective optimization; game theory; smart energy
distribution; smart homes; wireless communications; and cyber-physical systems.
Chalie Charoenlarpnopparut received his M.Sc. and
Ph.D. (Electrical Engineering) from Pennsylvania State University in 1995 and
2000, respectively. In 2001, he joined Sirindhorn International Institute of
Technology, Thammasat University. He is currently an Associate Professor at the
School of Information, Computer, and Communication Technology. He is a member
of the ECTI Association, Thailand. He was awarded the 2011 SIIT Research
Award and the 2010 Distinguished Teacher Award, SIIT. His research area
includes multidimensional systems and signal processing, signal processing for communication, energy planning, and smart grid system.
Yasuo Tan is a Professor and Computer Network Chair
at the School of Information Science, Japan Advanced Institute of Science and
Technology (JAIST), Japan. He received his Ph.D. at the Tokyo Institute of
Technology in 1993. In the same year, he became a research assistant at the
JAIST. He became an assistant professor in 1998 and has held his current
position since 2007. He is a member of the Institute of Electronics,
Information and Communication Engineers, the Information Processing Society of
Japan, the Institute of Electrical Engineers, the Neural Network Society, and
the Japan Society of Software Science and Technology. His research interests
are Computer Networks, Computer Systems, Ubiquitous Computing, and Smart Grid.
