Yong Jin received a Ph.D. in Business Adminstration from the University of Florida in 2016, an M.Phil. in Risk Management Science from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2012 and a B.S. in Risk Management Science from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2010. He is currently an Associate Professor and Assistant Dean at the Faculty of Business, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He is also the Director of the Centre for Business Technology & Innovations, co-director of the Center for Economic Sustainability and Entrepreneurial Finance and Deputy Programme Director of Doctor of Management (HK) in PolyU. His research topics mainly include FinTech, AI and blockchain applications in Finance, Technology Management, Digital Transformation, Economics of Information Systems and Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
Shuaian Wang received his BSc and MSc from Tsinghua University and obtained his Ph.D. from the National University of Singapore. He is currently a Professor at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU), a Distinguished Visiting Professor at Tsinghua University, a Director of PhD Studies at the Department of Logistics and Maritime Studies, and Deputy Director of PolyU Maritime Data and Sustainable Development Centre. Prior to joining PolyU, he worked as a faculty member at Old Dominion University, USA, and the University of Wollongong, Australia. His research interests include big data in shipping, green shipping, shipping operations management, port planning and operations, urban transport network modeling, and logistics and supply chain management. He has published over 100 papers in Transportation Research (Part A, B, C, D, and E), Transportation Science, Management Science, and Operations Research. He won the INFORMS Computing Society Harvey J. Greenberg Research Award in 2023. He is co-editor-in-chief of Transportation Research Part E, editor-in-chief of Cleaner Logistics Supply Chain, and editor-in-chief of Communications in Transportation Research. He is dedicated to rethinking and proposing innovative solutions to improve the efficiency of maritime and urban transportation systems, to promote environmental friendly and sustainable practices, and to transform business and engineering education.
