Dr. Bo Biering-Sørensen is a neurologist and the director of the Spasticity Clinic, Neuropathic Pain and CRPS Clinic, as well as the Movement Disorder Clinic at the Department of Neurology, Rigshospitalet Glostrup, University of Copenhagen, Denmark. Dr. Biering-Sørensen is a clinical associate professor at the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Copenhagen, and the director of the Movement Disorder and Pain Research Center, Rigshospitalet Glostrup. Dr. Biering-Sørensen has earned a Master of Public Governance (MPG), completed the Nordic Diploma course in Advanced Pain Medicine (NDAPM), and participated in the Scandinavian Movement Disorder Specialist Diploma Education. He is Chairman of the steering committee of the Scandinavian Diploma Education in Dystonia and Spasticity Treatment program (www.skandyspas.com) and is a founder of this Scandinavian education program. Dr. Biering-Sørensen conducts research especially in the area of spasticity assessment and treatment, neuropathic pain treatment, patient self-management, home-based advanced Parkinson’s treatment, the use of wearables for Parkinson's patients, the treatment of dystonia, and complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS). He is an author of the Danish national guidelines on neuropathic pain treatment, spasticity treatment and complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS).
Dr. Tobias Bäumer is a highly experienced neurologist with many years of experience in the field. Dr. Tobias Bäumer’s career highlights include obtaining a license for medical practice, defending his dissertation on FK506 absorption, and receiving a specialization in neurology. He has also undergone further training in psychiatry and particularly neurological intensive care medicine. Dr. Tobias Bäumer was a consultant and senior physician in the Department of Neurology at the University Hospital Hamburg-Eppendorf from 1996 to 2013. Then, he was a senior physician in the neurogenetics department of the Institute of Neurogenetics. In 2020, he was Deputy Director at the Institute for Systemic Motor Research. He currently works at the Department of Rare Diseases at the University Hospital Schleswig-Holstein Lubeck in Germany. Dr. Tobias Bäumer is a member of prestigious medical societies such as the German Society for Neurology, Ultrasound in Medicine, and Clinical Neurophysiology. His research interests include dystonia, cortex, botulinum, and transcranial magnetic stimulation.

Dr. Monica Verduzco-Gutierrez is an accomplished academic Physiatrist and Professor and Distinguished Chair of the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at the Long School of Medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. She is also the Medical Director of Critical Illness Recovery and Neuro Rehabilitation at Warm Springs Rehabilitation Hospitals in San Antonio and Chief of the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation service line at the University Health Hospital system. Dr. Gutierrez's area of clinical expertise includes the care of patients with traumatic brain injury, stroke rehabilitation, interventional spasticity management, and Long COVID. She has over 100 publications in these areas, as well as in health equity and inclusion. As a sub-investigator in the NIH RECOVER trial through her institution and co-PI on a grant through AHRQ, she is at the forefront of expanding multidisciplinary Long COVID care and conducts numerous clinical trials related to spasticity management. Dr. Gutierrez is passionate about advocacy, particularly improving the health outcomes of persons living with neurologic conditions and ensuring access to care and research inclusion for marginalized groups affected by complex disabling conditions. Her leadership during the pandemic included evidence-based dissemination and active social media engagement, where she continues to share her experiences and reflections as a leader with her followers on 'Med Twitter.'
