Author Biographies

Yoshinobu Murayama received his B.E. and M.S. degrees in Biophysical Engineering from Osaka University, Osaka, Japan in 1999 and 2001, respectively, and his Ph.D. degree in Engineering from Nihon University in 2005. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, College of Engineering, Nihon University, Fukushima, Japan. From 2009 to 2011, he was a postdoctoral fellow with the Lulea University of Technology, Lulea, Sweden, working on microscale elasticity imaging for tissue characterization. From 2019 to 2020, he was a visiting professor with the Georgia Institute of Technology working on microfluid oscillators. His research interests include the quality evaluation of  embryos and the prediction of ovulation timing for infertility treatment.

Zunyi Tang received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer and Information Systems from the University of Aizu, Japan, in 2009 and 2013, respectively. He was a postdoctoral fellow in the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering, Osaka Electro-Communication University, Japan, from 2013 to 2016, and in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, College of Engineering, Nihon University, Japan, from 2016 to 2018. Since 2018, he has been an Assistant Professor at the Center for Medical Education and Career Development, Fukushima Medical University, Fukushima, Japan. His research interests include biosignal processing, machine learning and optimization, artificial intelligence, and supporting medical education through the integration and development of various systems.
