Prof. Yoshinori Marunaka is currently President and Representative Director, Director of Clinic and Director of Medical Research Institute, Kyoto Industrial Health Association, General Incorporated Foundation; Professor, Research Organization of Science & Technology, Ritsumeikan Univ; Professor Emeritus, Kyoto Pref Univ of Medicine. He received an MD (1979) and a PhD (1985) from Kyoto Pref Univ of Medicine. He was Professor and Chair, Depts of Mol Cell Physiology, Bio-Ionomics, Respiratory Medicine, Dean for Students Affairs, Director of Library, Kyoto Pref Univ of Medicine. He was also Associate Professor (Principal Investigator and Laboratory Head), Hospital for Sick Children Res Inst and Div of Respiratory Medicine, Dept of Pediatrics, Univ Toronto, Canada; Assist Prof, Dept of Physiology, Emory University Sch of Medicine, USA. He serves and served as President of Physiological Soc of Japan; President of International Soc for Proton Dynamics in Cancer; President of International Soc for Cancer Dynamics; Steering Committee Member of Am Physiol Soc, Program Committee Member of Am Thrac Soc; Chair of Grants & Awards Committee, International Soc for Translational Medicine. He also serves and served as Editor-in-Chief, Chief Editor, Advisory Board Member, or Editorial Board Member for more than 30 international scientific journals.
