Lyubomira Dimitrova Yocheva is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Medicine, Sofia University. Education: Faculty of Biology, Sofia University, 1986 - Master of Biology; Faculty of Biology, Sofia University, 1997 - Doctor of Philosophy. Work experience in microbiology (biology of streptomycetes - producers of antibiotics; Clostridia - causative agents of specific fermentations; lactic acid bacteria; probiotics; sanitary microbiology of water), immunology (serological surveys of Helicobacter pylori infections, hepatitis A and HSV infections; atopic dermatitis). Current and previous research interests: antimicrobial activity of biologically active substances synthesized by streptomycetes, cyanobacteria; antimicrobial activity of microalgal and plant extracts; antimicrobial activity of nanoparticles. Lyubomira Dimitrova Yocheva has a membership in the Union of Scientists in Bulgaria and Bulgarian Association of Microbiologists.
