dermatitis). Current and previous research interests: antimicrobial activity of
biologically active substances synthesized by streptomycetes, cyanobacteria;
antimicrobial activity of microalgal and plant extracts; antimicrobial activity

interests: Lactic acid bacteria and Bifidobacteria; isolation, characterization
and selection of strains from different habitats (dairy products, plants,
sourdough, human samples) to be used as starter and/or probiotic cultures;
optimization of the fermentation process and large-scale production of
microbial cultures; methods for detection of contaminants in foods.
