Dr. Adriano Mauro Cansian is an associate professor at UNESP—Universidade Estadual Paulista
(Sao Paulo State University, Brazil) in São José do Rio Preto Campus, where he has been teaching undergraduate and graduate courses since 1992, and also coordinates the ACME! Computer Security
Research Labs. His main research interests are computer security and intrusion detection, TCP/IP network safety, and attacker profiling and behavior. He also has IT corporate and executive experiences, acting as UNESP's CIO from 1997 to 2004 and other principal positions.
