Tirayut Vilaivan obtained his DPhil in Organic Chemistry from Oxford in 1996 and B.Sc. at Chulalongkorn University in 1992. He is currently a professor of chemistry at the Organic Synthesis Research Unit (OSRU), Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok. His research interests include catalytic asymmetric synthesis, synthesis and applications of conformationally constrained peptide nucleic acids, and antimalarial drug development.
