Author Biographies

Konstantinos Melas is the head of academic programs in business administration at Metropolitan College’s – Thessaloniki campus and a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Economics at the University of Western Macedonia. His research interests focus on the fields of maritime economics, finance, and commodity markets. He has taught courses in shipping and logistics management at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels at the University of Macedonia, the University of Central Lancashire, and the International Hellenic University. His research has been published in internationally recognized academic journals such as International Economics, Maritime Economics & Logistics, and Review of Behavioral Finance. He completed his postgraduate studies in International Accounting and Finance at City University of London and his doctoral thesis at the Department of Commerce, Finance, and Shipping at the Cyprus University of Technology. Before entering academia, he held executive positions in the fields of shipping and asset management.
