Objects conservator. Most recently, as an MSCA doctoral research fellow, his PhD research targeted spectral imaging and surface cleaning of Edvard Munch’s Aula paintings. Earlier, Cutajar operated as a freelance conservator, at the UCL Institute of Archaeology and National Trust Knole. He graduated from UCL (UK) in 2016, with an MA and MSc in Conservation, and holds a BSc in Chemistry (UM, Malta).
His interests include spectral imaging for conservation, monumental paintings, decorative surfaces, and sustainable conservation practice.

several research projects, including Saving Oseberg, Between heaven and earth, and Nurturing nature. His interests include SEM and SEM-EDS.

the Basque Country UPV/EHU. Caruso's research aims to provide scientific answers to problems/questions/issues in heritage conservation, mainly by developing new methods for analytical chemistry and materials science.
Associate professor at Haute École Arc Conservation-Restoration (HES-SO). Received a PhD in chemistry on the application of FTIR micro-spectroscopy to cultural heritage (2009). She held a Marie Curie fellowship at the SNM (2010–2012). After finishing an SNSF grant 2013-2016), she obtained an SNSF professorship developing conservation methods for wooden artefacts (2016-2023). Her research interests focus on green conservation strategies for cultural heritage.
Professor of Conservation Studies (IAKH) at the University of Oslo (UiO). She is a paintings conservator, and she holds a PhD since 2002 in Conservation from the University of Gothenburg (Sweden). Currently, she is teaching and supervising master's and PhD students at UiO. Frøysaker’s research activities span from medieval polychrome art, Harriet Backer’s paint tubes, and Edvard Munch’s Aula paintings (1909-1916).
