Dr. Ioannis Kazanidis is an Assistant Professor of Educational Technology and Databases at the Computer Science Department of the Democritus University of Thrace, Vice Director at the Advanced Educational Technologies & Mobile Applications Lab of the same University, and a founding member of the International Association for Blended Learning (IABL). He has participated in several internationally funded research projects related to immersive technologies in education and educational technology. He has published more than 130 papers in international journals and conferences. His research interests mainly focus on Educational Technology and on the adoption of innovations in different fields of study, such as educational technology, e-learning, AI in education, AR/VR in education, mixed-reality environments, learning analytics, and tangible user interfaces.

Dr. Nikolaos Pellas is an Adjunct Lecturer in the Department of Early Childhood Education at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. His research interests lie in the design, development, and implementation of interactive environments using AI and VR/AR/MR in communication and education. According to the bibliometric study of Ioannidis JPA of Stanford University for the years 2022 and 2023, he is ranked among the top scientists in the world (2%) for his significant contribution to the field of “Education”.
