Prof. Dr. Shumei Zhao is the Deputy Director
of the Department of Agricultural Architecture and Environmental Engineering
and was promoted to Associate Professor in December 2006. She received a
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Beijing Agricultural Engineering
University in 1990, a Master’s degree in Engineering from China Agricultural
University in 1995, and a Ph.D. in Agronomy from the Graduate School of Life
and Environmental Sciences, University of Tsukuba, Japan in 2005. She is a
Senior Member of the Chinese Society of Agricultural Engineering and an
Overseas Member of the Japanese Society of Facility Agriculture. Her research
interests include agricultural bio-environmental engineering and agricultural
architecture.
Prof. Dr. Jing Xu is an Associate Professor in
the College of Water Resources and Civil Engineering at China Agricultural
University. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from China
Agricultural University in 2008 and a Ph.D. in Structural Engineering from
Dalian University of Technology in 2013. After graduating with her doctorate,
she became a Lecturer at the College of Water Resources and Civil Engineering,
China Agricultural University. She also spent a year as a Visiting Scholar at
the School of Environmental and Civil Engineering, University of Dayton, USA.
Her research areas are nonlinear analysis of reinforced concrete structures,
UHPC material properties, structural design and optimization of
agricultural greenhouse facilities, and research on wind load characteristics.
