Dr. Xie received his Ph.D. in Cell Biology from Lanzhou University and completed postdoctoral training at Texas A&M Health Science Center, and he is now an Associate professor in Shantou Univesity. His research interests focus on the molecular principles of cell signal processing in development and tumorigenesis. His main work includes genetic and biochemical analyses of the Mediator complex. Related discoveries have been published in PLoS Biology, PNAS, JCI, etc.
