Dr. Valentin Năstasă earned his Ph.D. in pharmacology from the "Ion Ionescu de la Brad" University of Life Sciences in Iași, Romania, in 2004. His research interests include experimental pharmacology and toxicology, antimicrobial resistance, biofilms, microbial-induced infertility, biomedical applications of plasma discharges and cold plasma-activated water, and the biocompatibility of biomedical materials. He also focuses on animal experimental models for testing various synthetic and natural molecules and nanoconjugate complexes with purposes such as antimicrobial, antioxidant, and antitumoral effects. Currently, Dr. Năstasă is a Professor of Pharmacology, a founding member of the Antimicrobial Chemotherapy Laboratory, and Head of the Experimental Biobase at the “Ion Ionescu de la Brad” Iași University of Life Sciences, Romania. Additionally, he has served as a scientific consultant for several pharmaceutical companies in recent years.
