Rosa Sigrist, MD is a board-certified radiologist and researcher at the Department of Ultrasound of the Institute of Radiology (InRad), School of Medicine of the University of São Paulo (USP), Brazil. She is a member of the scientific board of the Dermatological Ultrasound department of the Brazilian Society of Ultrasound and serves on the International Board of the CMAC (Complications in Medical Aesthetics Collaborative). Dr. Sigrist has been actively publishing on dermatologic ultrasound with main focus on the aesthetic applications. She was a visiting instructor in ultrasound at Stanford University for two years and is the founder of Ultrassonando. She has been given several courses in the field in Brazil, Poland and Switzerland and speaks at national and international conferences and congresses.
Dr. Stella Desyatnikova MD is a double board-certified facial plastic surgeon and the founder of The Stella Center for Facial Plastic Surgery and the Ultrasonos Aesthetic Ultrasound Training and Research Center in Seattle, WA. Her practice and research are dedicated to advancing the capabilities of high-definition ultrasound to enhance the safety and precision of injectable treatments. She has earned recognition as a leading expert in the field, sharing her knowledge and experience through lectures, publications, and direction of facial ultrasound courses. She is a member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS), the Secretary of the Dermatologic Community of the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM), and the International Expert Board member of the Complications in Medical Aesthetics Cooperative (CMAC).
Dr. Roberta Vasconcelos-Berg is the Director of the Aesthetic, Reconstructive, and Laser Dermatology Department at the University Hospital of Basel, Switzerland, based at Margarethenklinik. She began her medical journey at the University of São Paulo (USP) in Brazil, where she earned her medical degree and specialized in dermatology, completing her dermatology degree in 2010. In 2015, she pursued a PhD at USP, conducting significant research on cutaneous lymphomas that has advanced understanding and treatment of these skin cancers. With over 13 years of experience with injectables, Dr. Vasconcelos-Berg has led the Aesthetic Dermatology team at the University Hospital of Basel since 2019.She is a pioneer in Switzerland for using ultrasound in injectable procedures, integrating this technology to enhance precision and safety. She performs all filler procedures with ultrasound guidance.Dr. Vasconcelos-Berg is also active in the global dermatology community, frequently speaking at international conferences on topics including advancements in aesthetic dermatology and reconstructive techniques. She co-founded the Aesthetic Ultrasound Academy in Basel, Switzerland, offering specialized training in ultrasound technology for aesthetic dermatology to radiologists and injectors.
