Prof. Li Bai is an expert in the research fields of food waste, consumer behavior, public health, and food safety. She contributes to the development of effective communication and intervention strategies that help decrease food waste, such as designing and evaluating intervention impacts on consumer purchase behaviors of sub-optimal foods and promoting their sales. She also contributes to projects that address public health, such as public health and food-handling behaviors in the domestic environment, and has diverse experience in mixed-methods research. Her papers have been published in the journals of Land Use Policy, Risk Analysis, Cleaner Production, Food Quality and Preference, Fond Control, and the International Journal of Hospitality Management.
