Dr. Danielle B. Tometich is an assistant professor in the USF College of Nursing. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Moffitt Cancer Center after completing her clinical internship at Yale University and graduating with her Ph.D. from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. Her research foci are cancer-related cognitive impairment, health behavior change for symptom management, and patient-reported outcomes of novel cancer treatments.
Dr. Jim is an assistant professor in the Department of Health Outcomes and Behavior at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida. Dr. Jim completed her M.Sc. degree in Clinical Psychology from Ohio State University. Dr. Jim received a Ph.D. degree in Health Psychology from Ohio State University. Her research focuses on the psychological and physical effects of cancer diagnosis and treatment, including cognitive impairment, fatigue, depression, disruptions in sleep and physical activity, and reduced quality of life. Dr. Jim’s goal is to help cancer patients feel better physically and emotionally. She dedicates her work to documenting the prevalence, severity, and duration of side effects, determining who is at greatest risk of developing side effects, developing and evaluating targeted treatments to prevent or reduce side effects, and understanding underlying biological and behavioral mechanisms.
