Wei Jiang completed his BSEE at Southwest Jiaotong University in Chengdu, China, in 2003. He furthered his studies at the University of Texas at Arlington, obtaining his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering in 2006 and 2009, respectively. Between 2007 and 2008, he advanced his career as a Senior Design Engineer with EF Technologies L.L.C. in Texas. In 2010, he took on a pivotal role at Yangzhou University, establishing the Smart Energy Laboratory. He ascended to the roles of full professor and subsequently Deputy Director of the Office of Academic Affairs, as well as Dean of the College of Innovation and Entrepreneurship. As of September 2023, he holds the position of Vice President at Yangzhou Polytechnic Institute. His academic engagements included visiting professorships at Gunma University in Japan (2012) and at both the University of Strathclyde and Aston University in the UK (2015). A distinguished educator, he has earned the Yangzhou University Excellent Teaching Award four times. His research currently focuses on the digitalization of power conditioning for renewable energy sources and energy storage systems, as well as the microscopic analysis of electromechanical energy conversion.
